Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) – Project GROW (Growing Resources in Our World) is a program of Texana Center that provides early identification and developmental services for children, ages 0 to 36 months old, with developmental delays, disabilities or certain medical diagnoses that may impact development. Early Childhood Intervention is a statewide program within the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
The mission of ECI- Project GROW is to educate and empower families by providing services that are personalized to assist and enable them to support the child in developing new skills or improving on present skills. The program provides parent/caregiver training based on the belief that they are the primary teachers of their children.
Referrals may be received directly from parents, medical professionals, and/or community agencies to the ECI – Project GROW program. Following the child’s initial evaluation, the family will be notified of the results and enrolled in the most appropriate infant and toddler program for services.
Services are provided in the home or community settings and help children learn basic skills as part of their family’s daily routines…
To receive ECI services from Texana Center’s Project GROW, the child must live in one…
Some services are provided at no cost to the family regardless of income…
