Texana Center is hosting quarterly collaboration meetings for the Medicaid Provider agencies serving persons with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD). The goal is to promote collaborative working relationships between providers and Local IDD Authorities that result in improved services for persons with IDD. The meetings are open to representatives of Medicaid Provider agencies (Home and Community-Based Services and Texas Home Living) and representatives of LIDDAs serving counties near Texana Center (The Harris Center, Gulf Coast Center, Tri-County Services).

Each meeting will include training on a topic relevant to both the Provider Agencies and the Local IDD Authorities. The Transition Support Team was the training topic for the initial meeting on October 5th. Participants requested future training on Medicaid Renewal processes and Electronic Visit Verification processes.

Future meetings are scheduled for Thursdays, 2-5 p.m., hosted by the Gulf Coast Center.
