Texana Center is offering new FREE support service that is designed to provide:
to service providers who work with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDD). If you are a Txhml or HCS provider this service is available to you without cost. In addition, employees of the Harris Center, Gulf Coast Center, Texana Center and Tri-County Behavioral Health Care have access to this service. Guidance and training will focus on the areas of medical, behavioral and psychiatric services.
The support team provides training, consultation, assistance and examples of best practice to providers in 12 counties in the Houston area.

The team’s activities include; developing, coordinating and presenting training through multiple formats such as webinars, videos and symposia which focus on increasing the expertise of providers. They will also be available to perform trans-disciplinary case reviews in order to assist treatment teams in developing best services for individuals with significant medical, behavioral and psychiatric challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to benefit from a collaborative interaction that is specifically designed to increase the quality of services for individuals with IDD.

Due to severe weather, Texana Center will be closed on Tuesday, 1/21, and Wednesday, 1/22. Our 24/7 programs will continue as usual. We will reopen on Thursday, 1/23.
