H-E-B Tournament of Champions Help Launch Community Youth

Rosenberg TX–February 6, 2023 – As Texana Café approaches its first anniversary, the team has much to be thankful for including support from H-E-B Tournament of Champions to help young people with autism launch into their adult lives. H-E-B’s grant of $3,500will help purchase food and supplies,supporting the Café’s unique mission to serve exceptional meals while preparing young people with disabilities for competitive employment.Texana Café offers teens and young adults with autism or intellectual disabilities paid internships while they learn independence and social skills.Several interns have already used the social, vocational, and independent living skills they learned during their time at Texana Café to obtain integrated employment in the community.The Café, located at 7440 FM 359 South in Fulshear, offers a place for the entire community to relax while partaking of breakfast, lunch, coffee, and baked goods Monday through Friday from8:00 am-3:00 pm.
